Good Luck Strikes Twice
I found out last Monday night that Skylight won Best Personal Site in the Philippine Web Awards again this year. Yay!
I didn’t go to the awards ceremony so I had no idea that I had won until I saw the referrals from the PWA site on my tracker. After I jumped around like an idiot in front of the computer for a while, I suddenly felt really glad that I didn’t go, because I surely would have acted all silly again like I did last year
Hugs to everyone who rooted for me! I really appreciate it, you guys!

Midnight Madness Indeed
Today is the very last day of my semestral break, and I’m still wondering where on earth those — to quote myself — three glorious weeks went. I am pretty certain, however, that I spent around half of it lying around in bed with Mr. TV, just being the coach potato that I am. So by 9 a.m. tomorrow, after I manage to squander away the last of my free time, I’ll be back in school. Woohoo.
Anyway, I did get a bit of good news yesterday. Skylight made it to the finals of the Philippine Web Awards! Yay!
I have one question: have you ever drifted off to sleep while slumped against a pillar in a department store at two o’clock in the morning? Probably not, huh? Well, I have. Shopwise held a special night sale for its Wiseclub members last Monday, and my mom thought it would be a good idea if we went. To say it bluntly, it was a glaringly bad experience. Checkout was so unbelievably slow that we were in line from about 11:00 p.m. until around 2:00 a.m., and we still weren’t done! By then, I was already dozing off in a corner just like I described earlier. My mom decided to give up shortly after that, and we went home exhausted and empty-handed. I don’t really know what time the last of the shoppers got checked out, but I bet that it wasn’t before sunrise. It’s pretty safe to say that I will never ever participate in a Shopwise sale again.

Sembreak Na!
I’m pretty much back to my normal self (which, in my case, isn’t really normal at all) again. I was kind of depressed during the weekend, because I had been so sure that I was going to fail one of my major subjects (EEE 31). I found out just today that I passed! Colors definitely didn’t fly, and no parties were thrown, but in my book a 2.75 is waaay better than a 5. Oh, and just so you wouldn’t be confused, this is different from the subject I was talking about in the previous post. That one I did fail (well, not really, just an incomplete).
I feel really chipper now, because sembreak is finally here! Yay! I’m going swimming with my blockmates in Bulacan tomorrow, and I’m going out with my highschool barkada this Friday. I’m determined to milk every last drop of fun I can get out of this vacation right up until I finally have to slave away in school again.
Speaking of fun, I was all set to have some in the Oasis concert that I was raving about also in the previous post. Well, Oasis backed out and the concert is cancelled. I’m so disappointed, it’s not even funny. I think the band was concerned about the peace and order situation (or rather the lack thereof) in the country, so they pulled out altogether. So now I have 2 free Upper Box B tickets and no concert to go to
