Shutterbug

I love photographs: taking them, looking at them, and being in them. These are some of the pictures I’ve taken, a portfolio of sorts. I don’t aspire to become an actual photographer, though, which is why I chose not to include this section in my portfolio. Unlike drawing and web design, photography is not something I see as a possible career option — I just do it for fun.

Black & White Series

I took a basic photography class as an elective in college and had a blast playing in the dark room. We learned how to develop and print our own photos using black-and-white film. I chose to shoot in lonely or isolated places, such as a cemetery near our place and the dungeons of Fort Santiago. This was my final portfolio for that class. Shopping in Alabang

The first two were taken in a crowded public market, the second two in an upscale shopping mall a short walk away. ( Media: Digital; Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P8 )

Pet Photography

I’m terribly fond of dogs and cats, so it’s no surprise that I love using them as subjects for my photos. ( Media: Digital; Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P8 )

Puerto Galera

There are few things more relaxing than lounging on a peaceful, nearly deserted beach on a sunny day. ( Media: Digital; Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P8 )

Rainbow’s End, Baguio

I shot these photos in and around a lovely hillside house in a village charmingly called “Rainbow’s End” in Baguio City. ( Media: Digital; Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P8 )

Body Parts

Just a series of body parts, mostly mine. ( Media: Digital; Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P8 )

Camera Phone Photos

As much as I love taking pictures, I don’t actually have a camera of my own. My phone does have a camera, though, so I use that from time to time. Of course the photo quality leaves a lot to be desired. ( Media: Digital; Nokia 3650 camera phone )
