Sleeping Cat

I have many feline qualities, a fact rarely lost on the people around me. I’m often told by both close friends and mere acquaintances that I remind them of a cat. I get a lot of kitty gifts because of this—cards, plushies, stationery, and even original art. My personal favorite is this picture given to me by a classmate on the last day of a photography class I took in college:

On the back he wrote, “To the only cat person I know, I’ll remember you every time I hear a cat’s meow. So here, take this picture and forget me not.”

I definitely won’t :)

    Everyone tells me the same thing about being cat like. But I attribute it to having a cat in my crib. My mom’s cat when I was born thought it was my mother.

    Aw that’s so sweet. It’s cool to have a trademark among your friends, that way you know they’ll never forget you, lol! I love the graininess of the of photo :)

    Kimmie, that’s adorable! We had dogs when I was a baby, but my first personal pet was a cat, too. I was already 3 when I got her, though.

    Kat, it’s definitely become a trademark. I actually have one high school classmate that asks me to meow for her every time we see each other at reunions :P

    Aww, your love for cats is so cute and endearing. I wish I could be cat-like. Actually, my sister says I’m on those fat, white furry cats. I say I’m more like an ogre! :)

    Awww, that picture and comment was so incredibly sweet. My fiance likes to call me his personal kitty cat because of my “cat-like” habits. I even like having my head and back scratched :x .
